Wedding Dress Photo
This exercise was a challenging photo restoration in which we had to put the image back together. To do this, we used tools like the paint brush, the lasso tool to move pieces of the photo, clone stamp, and adjustments of tone, contrast, and color. We attached the broken parts of the picture, filled in missing areas, and recreated the photo to look like new.
Photo of Man
To fix this photo, we had to restore the contrast and depth to this faded image. Using the blur tool, clone stamp, adjustments of brightness and contrast, the paintbrush, and sepia photo filters, we restored the photo while still keeping its antiquity in tact.
Extract the Subject
To complete this exercise, we had to use the selection tool to cut out the man in the first photo and place him in the boardwalk scene, as well as flip the image so he was leaning to the opposite side. The next step was to use "lighting effects" to recreate the lighting in the boardwalk scene and apply it to the man placed in the image. This would make it look as though the man was really in the scene, and was effected by the light and shadowing that was already present in the boardwalk photo.
Age Progression
The point of this exercise was to take a picture of ourselves and age the photo. We used the liquify tool to warp the features of our face, as well as the paint tool and various texture tools to add wrinkles, age spots, eye bags, ect. We also used the desaturate tool and various colors to create gray hair and a more faded complexion.
